An entrepreneur, a teacher, a leader, an educationalist, a mother and a CEO. Ms. Ssarita Siingh, the CEO of Priyadarshani School, began the long climb to success at the age of 16 as an assistant teacher, while also pursuing her degree in Behavioral Psychology. Within five years of teaching, she became the Admin’s Head at the first branch.

She was given the responsibility to establish a school at Indrayaninagar, Pune, where she infused her out-of-the-box ideas with traditional teaching approaches. She developed creative teaching aids, curriculum-based workshops, Play-way Method of learning, career counseling, counseling for the students with learning difficulties and counseling for both teachers and parents. In the process, she,not only established a school – she also built a community.

By making holistic development necessary, Ms.Siingh introduced martial arts in the school as a technique for building self confidence; at the same time, recognizing the needs of the modern world, she also made studying Information Technology compulsory for students.

Among her other professional involvements, Ms. Siingh was also a part of Macmillan Publishers India Ltd as a Consultant and Creative Head. She ran the Indian Operations of Macmillan’s New York office for seven years, conducting workshops throughout India and developing ideas for publishing books for schools, institutes, corporates and renowned Authors.

Developing her career in another direction, she next made a mark on the Media and Entertainment industry when she became an Advisory Panel Member at the Central Board of Film Certification, Mumbai, which position she held for three years. She was also approached by the infamous Boney Kapoor to work as an Advisor for his projects and a Consultant with Sahara One Media And Entertainment Ltd. There she gained extensive knowledge about Box Office; she wrote multiple articles on the latest release and box office collections. She also worked as a consultant for several investors, distributors, and producers. She worked as a Script Doctor on at least 65 scripts. She was approached by Carnival Cinemas, a well-known multiplex chain, to lead their production team as a Business Head. She was also a Jury Member of the Short Film Festival at the Jai Hind College for two years.

Despite after all these responsibilities Ms. Siingh continued to conduct workshops and guest lectures in various schools and colleges in Mumbai.

Ms. Siingh’s inspiring and bold character has caught the eye of many people. In Forbes India feature, she was described as a self-made woman who defies the notion of barriers. She’s also been quoted in the NewsX channel expressing her opinions on education and the toll the system has taken due to the adverse effect of COVID 19, emphasizing the importance of students’ mental and emotional health.  Ms. Siingh has been positioned in India’s A-Listers and  was recently awarded as “The Woman Icon of The Year” in the 7th World Women Leadership Congress Awards.

Now she works full time for the development and growth of Priyadarshani School.

Even though she has decided to contribute all her time to the development of Priyadarshani School, she still makes space for multiple projects in the Media and Entertainment sector.

Ms. Siingh is the leader that we need in the field of education. Her contribution and influence will produce more leaders like her in the future. She exemplifies her own motto to transform oneself, to step out of one’s comfort zone and never lose integrity.
